WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COUNSELING AND COACHING?
In life coaching, the client and coach work together collaboratively to find inner strengths, raise energy, identify limiting beliefs and blocks. The goal of coaching is to enhance the client’s self awareness and level of consciousness for improved performance and satisfaction. They work together and focus on creating solutions and then action plans to reach personal goals that previously seemed unattainable. The overarching premise is that the ‘answer lies within’ and ‘you are more than enough’. Counseling is more directed by the counselor who listens as the patient shares.  The focus is on ‘fixing’ the problem in order for the patient to resume a level of normal daily functioning. Counseling focuses on past unresolved issues and the subconscious in order to fix what’s broken and to heal the patient. There is a clear distinction between the two modalities that needs to be recognized and respected in order to make the appropriate choice.
WHAT DOES THE COACHING SESSION LOOK LIKE?
We will talk on the phone or Skype (your choice) for 1 hour sessions, either weekly or every other week. During this time the focus is entirely on you and your needs which also determines the ‘agenda’. The sessions are private, confidential and designed to create a space free of judgement where you are comfortable to share your thoughts and feelings. My style is casual, warm with an appreciation for FUN and HUMOR.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Everybody works at their own pace so the answer to this question depends on how much you want to accomplish. It takes time for us to change our thoughts and behaviors and create sustainable change. My services are designed to accommodate each person’s specific goals (such as the ‘peaks’ that are described on my services page) or a more comprehensive package that incorporates all 5 areas of focus (such as the ‘5 peak pathfinder’). During the complimentary session, we will determine the best course of action and also accommodate your needs and budget. I have seen clients reach specific goals in a few sessions; however, the norm is weekly/bi-weekly sessions for 3-6 months. Again, this is determined by you.
WHAT DOES THE COACHING PROCESS LOOK LIKE?
While everybody’s journey is unique; there are paths that we share to learn, grow and gain clarity. In addition to using the Core Energy Process of Coaching, we have assembled a powerful ‘toolkit’ that allows us to have just the right tool for every task! Tools such as; Belief, Strengths and Values Assessments, confidence and skill building exercises, journaling, vision/mission boards and action planning. Unlike any else in the coaching industry, iPEC has trained and certified us in the utilization of The Energy Leadership Index Assessment, an attitudinal assessment created by Bruce Schneider. This amazing tool measures one's level of consciousness, one's level of engagement at home, in a relationship, and at work, and also measures one's ability to lead. This is valuable in helping you to learn about your perceptions, attitudes, behaviors and overall leadership capabilities. You will learn where you are energetically and how to raise your energy to improve your life experiences and outcomes. (you will learn more about this in your sessions!)
WHAT IS YOUR COACHING METHODOLOGY?
We use the Core Energy Coaching Process which is unique within the industry and taught by the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). This process delivers accelerated results because it focuses on the energy and the being (you'll learn all about this!).The process, created by Bruce Schneider ( http://new.ipeccoaching.com/founder/ ), is well founded in science and research and was developed from multiple disciplines and fields including; consulting, psychotherapy, mentoring, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, spiritual awareness and consciousness. You will experience the coaching relationship as a partnership for transformational change which is brought about through uncovering the answers within. The powerful alliance will help you to garner the self awareness and confidence needed to identify and live a sustainable life of choice.
WHAT IS THE ENERGY LEADERSHIP INDEX ASSESSMENT?  
The E.L.I. is an attitudinal assessment, which is based on an energy/action model. This assessment differs from personality assessments as it is not intended to label a person and have them work well within that label. Instead, it measures your level of energy based on your attitude, or perception and perspective of your world. Because attitude is subjective, it can be altered. By working with a coach using the E.L.I., you can alter your attitude and perspective, make a shift in your consciousness, and increase your energy and leadership effectiveness.

There are no limits as to the potential growth that you can achieve. Once you realize that your level of consciousness is directly related to your thoughts, feelings and actions, you can move from functioning effectively, to functioning optimally. As part of the Energy Leadership Index assessment and debrief process, you'll learn about the 7 levels of leadership and how much energy you currently have in the catabolic-suppressing range and in the anabolic-inspirational range.  You'll be debriefed on the findings of the assessment, and coached on how to navigate yourself to higher performance.
